How I Found Calm In The Middle Of Chaos
There’s been so much heaviness, divisiveness, anger, and chaos in the world lately.
And for someone who’s lived with obsessive compulsive disorder most of my life, things in the news can be really triggering.
It’s been a lot to take in.
So a few days ago, I made a small but powerful choice.
I deleted the Facebook app from my phone.
Not because I don’t care about connection or community. But because I realized how easily I was being pulled into the noise. The endless scroll and constant polarity.
I knew I needed space.
Now, if I want to check in, I can still do it from my computer. But having it off my phone feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s given me back presence, calm, and clarity in my everyday moments.
Here’s the thing. Peace doesn’t just show up when the world quiets down. Peace is something you create. One choice, boundary, and one pause at a time.
And every day, you and I get to decide... Do we let ourselves get pulled into the noise, or do we take a step toward peace?
So let me ask you... what’s one small shift you can make right now to bring yourself more peace?
Maybe it’s deleting an app.
Maybe it’s saying no to something/someone that drains you.
Maybe it’s giving yourself a few minutes of silence to just breathe.
Whatever it is, trust that it matters.
Because peace isn’t a luxury. It’s essential.
And it’s always available to you.
