Ask For What You Need—It Changes Everything

During last month’s quarterly planning session inside my Dream Life Designer Planner Community, something important happened.

During the call, I could sense one of the members had a question, but was holding back.

I could feel the hesitation, so I encouraged her to ask.

Turns out, what she needed wasn’t complicated, but specific. She needed a space that allowed her flexibility to build her business in a way that worked for her life and budget.

And the best part was, I had an amazing contact for her that was exactly what she needed.

But that connection would never have happened if she stayed silent.

I share this because so often, we hold ourselves back from asking for what we need.

We hesitate, second guess, and tell ourselves it’s not the right time or that we should figure it out on our own.

But when you do that, you don’t just stay where you're at. You also miss opportunities, support, and resources that could move you forward.

How many times have you wanted something and kept it to yourself? Or needed support but chose to handle it alone?

I see this often, especially with women.

We carry so much. We try to be everything for everyone, and somewhere along the way, we start believing that asking is a weakness.

It’s not!

It’s clarity.

It’s ownership.

And it’s a decision to move forward instead of staying stuck.

Look. People can’t support what you don’t express. Opportunities can’t meet what you don’t share, and the right connections can’t find you if you stay hidden.

So, here’s what I want you to consider...

What do you need right now?

Not what you think you should need, nor what sounds good... but what would actually move you forward?

Say it.

Ask for it.

And put it into the room.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You just need to be willing to knock on the door, because you never know what or who's already within reach, waiting for you to knock so they can open up and support you.
