When You Don't Charge, Nobody Transforms (including you)

Let me ask you something…

How long have you been sitting on your gift, offering it up for free or next to nothing, hoping people will see your value?

How long have you been showing up, pouring your heart out, and quietly wondering why it feels like it's not working?

I see you. And I wanna tell you the truth, even if it's a little uncomfortable.

Something a mentor once said that has stuck with me was 'the transformation begins with the transaction.'

It may have felt harsh at the time, but I now realize it was one of the most loving things I (and others) can understand about the work we do.

Here's the thing...

When someone invests in you, something shifts in them. They show up differently. They do the work. And they take it seriously, because they've got skin in the game and have made a decision they're committed to.

But when something is free or drastically underpriced?

It's easy to dismiss, deprioritize, and never fully commit to it.

You've probably seen this yourself.

The client who paid full price shows up to every session, does the exercise/homework, and gets results.

But the person you helped for free, never implemented a thing or does very little.

So here's what I really want you to sit with today...

Your fear of charging isn't protecting your clients. It's actually getting in the way of their transformation.

And it's definitely getting in the way of yours.

Because the other side of the coin that doesn't get talked about enough, is when someone pays you, it also calls you into your best self.

Seriously, you can't phone it in. You can't be casual about it. Someone has trusted you with their hard earned money, and that means you've made a promise to show up and deliver.

So let me ask you... what's it costing you to remain afraid?

Really think about it.

Because it's costing you the confidence you'd build every time you name your price and someone says 'yes'. And it's costing your clients the full commitment that comes when they truly invest.

And most importantly, it's costing you the ability to stay in business long enough to keep changing lives.

Look, I know giving into your fears around charging doesn't feel like a cost because it feels safe. But staying small has a price tag too. It's just paid in a different currency.

You're paying in time, energy, and resentment.

So, where will you be a year from now if you keep operating from this place?

I'm not asking that to scare you. I just want you to be honest with yourself.

Are you willing to go another year of undercharging, over giving, and wondering why you feel depleted? Another year of amazing people not fully committing because they weren't asked to?!

I know this isn't the vision you had for yourself.

Here's what I know to be true... You built something real. Your experience, wisdom, and ability to see and guide people through their transformation has value. Significant value!

And when you charge for it, you aren't being greedy. You're actually being congruent.

You're saying, this matters!

I matter.

Charging isn't the end of your generosity. It's actually what makes your generosity sustainable.

So if you've been waiting for permission, this. is. it!

Charge for what you offer. Show up fully, and watch what happens on both sides of that transaction.

Because that's where the transformation lives.
