Stop Waiting to Take Action

In about a week’s time, we will officially be in August. That means just five months left in the year. This is a great time to look back and get real honest on the actions you’ve taken towards your goals and vision.

I want to remind you that there was a reason you desired change and aspired to your goals.

Maybe the thought of remaining the same was too much of a burden to bear.

Possibly, it was your soul looking for growth and expansion.

Maybe it was your desire to serve more and help others through your work.

However…

You procrastinated.
Doubted your abilities.
Made excuses.
Did not keep your word to yourself and others.

You simply did NOT show up!

The truth is, one of the best ways to achieve your goals is to do what you say you’re going to do. To show up and get things done no matter what. Now, I’m not talking about the hustle mentality that runs rampant on social media. What I’m talking about is seeing the higher purpose for your goals and committing to it 100%.

Understand that in order to have something you’ve never had before, requires you to be and do something new and different. Because it’s different, it’s inconsistent with your current way of being and so the discomfort sets in. When discomfort sets in, you stopped and got distracted.

If you’ve yet to make the impact you want, now is your time.

Maybe it’s a new offering that’ll help your clients and make you money... but you've yet to complete it. Why is this the case? What do you hope to gain by sitting on your gifts and talents and not sharing it with the world?

What’s more important to you, the opinion of others and the fear of failing OR helping those who need you most and making an impact and contribution?

Something I’ve said in my past talks is that if you have something valuable to share that will help others, it is your ethical responsibility to get out there, be visible and share it with others. It is truly a selfish act to keep your gifts to yourself out of fear of judgement and failure.

Where will you be at the end of the year if you continue to hold yourself back?

Your future self and those that need you most are waiting for you to step out of your comfort zone and share your gifts.
