Stop Letting Others Control Your Dreams
I’ve been thinking about something I wanted to share with you, because I see it far too often.
There are so many brilliant, gifted, heart-led people sitting on their purpose. Not because they lack talent or passion, but because they internalized someone else’s criticism.
But here’s the question I really want you to sit with:
Are you taking constructive criticism from someone who hasn’t constructed anything?
Because if someone has never built, created, risked, or tried, then what foundation are they speaking from?
Far too many people allow the opinions of those who are doing nothing to influence their actions, even though they’re the ones actually out here doing something.
And I know you’re someone who tries. Someone who shows up and chooses courage even when it feels uncertain or imperfect.
Your voice, inner wisdom, and your own guidance... trust them over the opinions of anyone who hasn’t taken the first step.
Please hear this:
The fact that you’re doing something matters.
Truly!
You’re writing, creating, planning, launching, learning, starting, even if it’s messy! Even if it’s slow, and you’re still just trying to figure it out.
That already places you in a completely different space than those who only watch, critique, or judge.
Anyone who hasn’t taken a first step doesn't get to tell you how to walk your path.
So the next time someone comments, questions, or doubts what you’re doing, ask yourself:
Do they create?
Do they commit?
Do they take risks?
Are they living in alignment with their own purpose?
If not, their judgment isn’t relevant.
What's relevant is the impact you’re making, even if you can’t fully see it yet.
Someone is being encouraged by your presence, message, work, and your willingness to show up and try.
You’re doing something meaningful just by being in motion.
So, keep going, building, and trusting your path.
