Why imperfection is your key to success
Last Monday, during my membership coaching call, we had a powerful discussion that I really want to share with you today.
We talked about the importance of giving yourself permission to take messy, uncertain and far from perfect action.
Because here’s the truth… waiting until everything’s just right will keep you trapped.
I learned this firsthand. When I first launched my planners, my first print run (thank goodness very limited) came out all wrong.
There were blank pages where it wasn’t supposed to be, and the tabs stuck out past the edge, making them easy to tear off!
I printed them locally, just wanting to prove my concept first and had no fancy launch strategy, nor perfect marketing plan. Just a deep belief in my product and a willingness to take the first step.
I was disappointed when I first saw it, but I went back to my printer and had them fix the mistake. I kept moving forward, tweaking, and refining every year.
Each action, no matter how small or imperfect, gave me feedback to improve. And because I kept going, my planners are now used by thousands of people around the world.
What I’ve come to learn is success isn’t about getting it right the first time. No! It’s about showing up, gaining feedback, tweaking where needed and doing it again.
Look, imperfect action is still action. And this action creates clarity and gives you feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and what to do next.
Imperfect action is what moves you forward. Every launch, attempt, and lesson builds momentum, bringing you closer to your goal.
So, if you’ve just launched a business, program or new offer, let it be messy. Don’t stop at one launch, attempt or setback.
If you truly believe in your idea, give it the time and space to grow.
It’s the imperfect actions, trying, failing, and trying again that eventually lead to big wins.
Success isn’t about perfection, it’s about persistence.
Trust the process and most importantly trust yourself, and keep going.
You’ve got this, and I so believe in you!
With love and gratitude,
Uchechi
